• Analyze business requirements, design documentation, and technical specifications to ensure that they are clearly defined, complete, and testable, and develop manual test strategies against them • Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify new and existing software functionality • Test applications via Black Box, Regression, Release, and Negative testing methods • Identify issues/bugs and report to developers and product owners • Demonstrate ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues by leveraging software testing methodologies and tools • Validate fixes and new features • Collaborate with other Quality Analysts and Engineers on significant initiatives and feature testing • Provide status updates during the testing cycle • Work with the automation team to help coordinate the automation of manual tests • Proactively learn the backend infrastructure, services, APIs, and new testing and technology trends that will impact testing of upcoming releases
• 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance manual testing role • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work • Experience with TestRail or XRay as well as previous SQL query experience • Comfortable with basic Unix commands • Phenomenal time experience, track record of delivering high quality products while meeting scheduling commitments • Good public speaking and presentation skills, interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff and external partners at all levels • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and within a team • High attention to detail and well-organized • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Commitment to both internal and external client quality and customer advocacy • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
