• Reporting to the Global Head of Services, this brand new role will see you expand upon our existing marketing & comms framework to support our growing product and services businesses. As a highly experienced senior leader, you will be balancing the creative with the commercial, to work with the team in crafting compelling brand messaging and achieving value-driven, customer centric solutions that deliver exceptional commercial outcomes and growth. • Establishing and implementing innovative long term and short term marketing strategies that support Moodle’s mission and goals • Leading a high performing global team that promotes innovation and creativity to drive commercial success for Moodle and our partner network • Empowering your team to deliver on marketing and comms plans to grow and enhance the Moodle brand • As a critical thinker with a keen creative eye, creating your own ‘playground’, becoming a driving force behind a culture of creativity, experimentation and learning within the marketing and communications function • Building and maintaining strong relationships across the organisation, particularly with the Services and Product teams • Actively participating as a member of the management team, collaborating with your peers in the development and achievement of Moodle’s goals.
• Extensive experience at a senior level in the development of creative, innovative, customer driven brand and marketing strategies, ideally within the technology sector • Outstanding leadership, communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills including a strong ability to work effectively across a variety of stakeholders • Experience leading a high performing marketing team as a coach and mentor, that thrives in an environment of working to team member strengths, and building on them • A hands on approach to driving marketing and comms plans and strategies - you aren’t afraid to ‘get your hands dirty’ and deliver across all channels (e.g. digital, email, lead nurturing, and whatever else comes down the line) • Ability to collaborate with others in a diverse global structure, and build strong relationships with your stakeholders • Experience with Moodle, Open Source Software or the Education / Ed Tech industries will be highly regarded.
