Descrição

• Serve as the technical lead of an Agile scrum team on a three-week sprint cadence. • Lead design, development, and unit testing of Python and Django backend services. • Design and build REST APIs supporting ETL, metadata exchange, reporting, and digital content management. • Implement content identification and selection services with filtering rules and manual, scheduled, and event-driven triggers. • Build metadata management and transformation services, including normalization, schema validation, quality checks, and reconciliation. • Implement API integrations and secure content transfer with authentication, retries, monitoring, logging, and traceability. • Design relational data models and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and indexes. • Implement asynchronous processing, queueing, task orchestration, checkpointing, throttling, and idempotent retries. • Maintain and extend Java components. • Integrate malware scanning, checksum validation, quarantine handling, and content-routing services. • Implement workflow administration, approvals, escalations, permissions, queues, and audit logging. • Design and tune Solr and Elasticsearch search and indexing capabilities. • Operate AWS services and contribute to Terraform infrastructure-as-code and Docker deployments. • Maintain Jenkins and Git continuous integration pipelines, including automated testing and SonarQube quality stages. • Author unit tests and collaborate with government QA staff on acceptance, integration, and accessibility testing. • Support WCAG 2.1 accessibility remediation. • Participate in Agile ceremonies and record work in JIRA. • Mentor a mid-level developer and enforce coding standards. • Contribute to lifecycle, design, security, and authorization documentation. • Handle Controlled Unclassified Information within client-managed environments. • Support project closeout and transition activities.

🎯 Requisitos

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience, including technical lead or senior developer experience on an Agile team. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent additional experience. • Ability to lead technical designs, conduct peer code reviews, and mentor mid-level developers. • Deep hands-on experience with production backend services and REST APIs in Python and Django. • Strong PostgreSQL experience, including data modeling, schema design, query optimization, and migrations. • Working proficiency in Java. • Hands-on experience with Solr and Elasticsearch, including index design and query tuning. • Experience designing microservices and REST APIs with authentication, authorization, versioning, validation, and error handling. • Experience building ETL or data integration pipelines with transformation, validation, reconciliation, and error recovery. • Hands-on AWS application development and deployment experience. • Working experience with Terraform infrastructure-as-code. • Experience maintaining Jenkins continuous integration pipelines and Git-based source control. • Working knowledge of content-addressable storage concepts and patterns. • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. • Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments using JIRA and story-point estimation. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration in a fully remote setting. • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or currently authorized to work full-time in the United States. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination; sponsorship is not available.
