Descrição

• Develop and maintain the online presence for Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy • Perform ongoing web development, content production, and website maintenance • Ensure compliance with the university’s accessibility policy and Section 508/WCAG 2.2 standards • Improve user experience, search engine performance, and site speed • Work with McCourt and Georgetown stakeholders to meet online business objectives and maintain platform standards • Track metrics and analytics and provide ongoing reporting, analysis, and context on website performance • Serve as the primary point of contact for McCourt website content updates and governance • Collaborate with University Information Services Web Services and Information Systems Technology teams to align website functionality and design with the central WordPress codebase • Follow Web Services code standards and processes for front-end development • Monitor Google Analytics (GA4), Siteimprove, and other server and site performance tools • Collaborate with Strategic Communications, the Dean’s Office, faculty, staff, and other university stakeholders • Coordinate with the MarTech team on SEO updates and paid marketing activities

🎯 Requisitos

• Bachelor’s degree • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience in website content management, front-end programming, and/or digital marketing • Strong experience with at least one enterprise web content management system, preferably WordPress • Intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS in a centrally managed WordPress environment • Experience ensuring and maintaining Section 508 web accessibility in compliance with WCAG 2.2 • Experience in responsive web design and mobile-first methodologies • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Fluency in design software for web development, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Experience Designer, and/or Figma • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace • Experience using Google Analytics as a diagnostic tool for site performance and SEO • Preferred: knowledge of JavaScript, particularly jQuery • Preferred: familiarity with PHP programming • Preferred: familiarity with SiteImprove as a diagnostic tool
