Descrição

• Own day-to-day execution and engineering health of Assessment, Curriculum, and Scheduling product clouds • Translate the roadmap into reliable, high-quality software with engineering managers, product leadership, and cross-functional partners • Lead the transition from ad-hoc coding to spec-driven development • Establish standards for writing, versioning, and using specifications • Drive AI-assisted development while maintaining quality • Define and use delivery, quality, and reliability metrics to guide decisions and expose risks • Set commitments, define completion standards, clarify ownership, and address underperformance • Build a continuous-improvement culture across engineering teams • Set consistent planning, building, reviewing, testing, and release standards across three product clouds • Manage sprint health, throughput, quarterly delivery, blockers, and scope-quality-timeline trade-offs • Own quality, reliability, Change Failure Rate, Escaped Defect Rate, bug backlog, SLA compliance, and production availability • Hire, level, coach, and develop engineering managers; run calibration and performance cycles; build leadership bench • Partner with product, design, and customer-facing leadership • Strengthen specifications, estimation, definition of done, code review, release, and metrics practices • Establish operating cadence and baseline metrics • Pilot and scale spec-driven, AI-augmented engineering practices

🎯 Requisitos

• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading engineering teams • Managing engineering managers; manager-of-managers experience required • Track record running multiple teams or product lines simultaneously and delivering predictably at scale • Experience leading an AI transformation of an engineering organization • Experience driving adoption of AI-assisted development and/or spec-driven practices • Metrics-driven leadership style; fluency with DORA, defect/escape rates, and SLA attainment • Ability to hold teams accountable and address performance directly • Demonstrated ownership of engineering quality and reliability • Record of building a continuous-improvement culture • Strong operating instincts across in-flight portfolios • Excellent cross-functional partnership with product and customer-facing teams • Clear, candid communication with executives • B2B SaaS experience • Familiarity with cloud/pod models and modern delivery tooling, including Jira, CI/CD, observability, and automated testing • Higher-education technology or regulated/enterprise vertical experience preferred • Experience scaling teams through rapid growth and process maturation preferred • Hands-on experience with spec-driven workflows or AI development tooling preferred
