Descrição

• Identify and prioritize cross-squad problems including platform modernization, authentication, dependency health, and security • Shape initiatives with Staff Engineers, defining problems, scope, timelines, and technical risks • Present cross-cutting work to R&D leaders for cycle prioritization • Support teams delivering cross-cutting work and technical decisions • Hire, develop, direct, and coach Staff Engineers • Judge technical tradeoffs and stand behind team decisions • Lead Ellevation’s security practice and establish ownership and escalation • Integrate security findings into engineering tools and workflows • Build threat modeling into work planning • Coordinate incident response, vendor and third-party risk, security awareness, questionnaires, and penetration testing • Own compliance evidence and coordinate contributions across engineering and product • Manage Ellevation’s relationship with Curriculum Associates’ central security organization • Collaborate on security standards, SLAs, KPIs, scanning configuration, and reporting • Report weekly to CA stakeholders on remediation progress, blockers, and security KPIs • Represent Ellevation in CA security forums • Report to the VP of Engineering and participate in R&D leadership decisions

🎯 Requisitos

• 10+ years in software engineering, including experience leading engineering teams • Experience hiring and leading senior and staff-level engineers, and growing them as technical leaders • Track record of taking large, ambiguous technical problems spanning teams through delivery, working through teams that did not report to you • Strong technical foundation in modern web applications, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD • Background in application security, cloud security, compliance, and incident response • Hands-on experience with SAST, SCA, and dependency scanning tooling • Experience moving decisions forward in a matrixed organization • Track record of communicating technical and security risk to executive audiences • Experience with sensitive or regulated data is a strong plus
