Descrição

• Support the NIH/NHLBI custom software portfolio • Improve the effectiveness, reach, and content of existing software solutions while reducing technical debt • Improve existing codebases and create new codebases • Work across the software life cycle, emphasizing design and development • Contribute to all parts of the application and testing stack • Collaborate with the team to realize system requirements and provide custom implementations when appropriate • Facilitate and explain high-leverage architecture and software development decisions • Support developers in writing clean, maintainable, testable, and extensible code • Contribute to requirements, design, development, and testing throughout the Software Development Lifecycle • Collaborate on Agile estimation, iterative planning, and retrospectives • Manage code and other artifacts using GitHub • Provide team and developer guidance to improve overall productivity • Develop solutions that may search large biological, genomic, and proteomic datasets

🎯 Requisitos

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering/Engineering Technology, or related field • 7+ years of relevant experience • Experience using Java, JavaScript, and SQL • Experience with Material UI/React • Experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions (CI/CD) • Experience working with and improving existing codebases • Experience working in an Agile software development environment • Experience leveraging Azure cloud services • Experience with Azure database-as-a-service offerings, including Cosmos and SQL Server • Ability to obtain and maintain an NIH Public Trust • Prior NHLBI BioData Catalyst experience is a plus • Experience developing scientific systems that search large biological, genomic, or proteomic datasets is desired • Experience with Test-Driven Development and JUnit is desired • No security clearance currently required • US citizenship is not required
