Descrição

• Provide day-to-day oversight for the Unix and Linux team by delegating and prioritizing tasks, resolving roadblocks, and ensuring efficient and timely service delivery • Oversee the team’s service catalog and identify customer demands • Own and develop the technical strategy and vision and lead the team in executing it • Partner with federal and program leadership as a subject matter expert • Work with Project Managers and Scrum Masters on project timelines, execution, resources, risks, and status reporting • Occasionally act as project manager for strategic team projects • Drive innovation and continuous improvement to deliver new services and working methods • Oversee recruitment, hiring, performance management, training, and mentoring • Oversee incidents, coordinate resolution parties, communicate with stakeholders, and lead after-action reporting • Lead reliable operations, maintenance, service delivery, project execution, modernization, and capability improvement for compliant Unix and Linux systems supporting the NIH CIT Hosting and Storage Services Program

🎯 Requisitos

• BS/BA and 6+ years of experience, or equivalent experience, in an IT-related discipline • Experience overseeing a portfolio of technology services and leading a technical team’s day-to-day execution, including operations and maintenance, service delivery, and project activities • People management experience, including recruiting, hiring, performance management, professional development, training, and mentoring a team of engineers • Experience leading technical projects and initiatives from planning through successful delivery • Broad hands-on experience and technical knowledge across infrastructure technologies, including Unix and Linux variants and associated supporting infrastructure services such as configuration management • Experience designing, operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex enterprise environments • Experience modernizing technology services and delivery practices through standardization, automation, and emerging technologies such as AI • Experience applying Agile and project management practices, managing priorities and backlogs, facilitating Scrum or similar delivery processes, and driving technical initiatives through completion • Working knowledge of ITIL principles and practices, including incident, problem, service request, change, and service level management • Ability to analyze complex technical and operational issues, provide technical guidance, and lead teams through problem resolution • Strong customer and stakeholder engagement skills, including translating technical issues, risks, and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences • Public Trust required and must be maintained • Onsite fingerprinting at a designated facility required • Relevant industry certifications in RHEL, Solaris, Unix, cloud technologies, ITIL, Agile, or project management preferred • Experience in federal government, healthcare, or similarly regulated environments preferred
