Descrição

• Guide software design and development across multiple engineering teams and principal software engineers • Accelerate delivery speed and quality through technical expertise, technical leadership, and communication of best practices • Serve as a key contact across a large IT portfolio to foster learning and adoption of new technologies • Interface with third-party vendors to meet technical needs and drive interoperability • Support 4–6 development teams across products and/or APIs • Ensure effective resource usage, system design, refactoring, cloud-cost optimization, and codebase improvements • Lead portfolio-level Principal meetings for alignment, consistency, and knowledge sharing • Create reusable foundational code elements across a portfolio • Develop proofs of concept with new technologies and support portfolio adoption • Monitor cloud-resource usage and drive cost-reduction opportunities • Escalate and resolve extremely complex technical challenges • Present at and attend conferences and apply new technologies and concepts • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to direct reports • Conduct annual and mid-year reviews and provide performance feedback • Attract, retain, develop, and motivate talent • Define technology solutions and contribute to technology roadmaps • Remove roadblocks and bottlenecks across cross-functional projects • Drive thought leadership, innovation, tooling adoption, and technology enablement • Escalate high-priority issues and outages • Address questions from project, product, and support teams • Resolve technology disputes across local teams • Work with vendors to implement software-product feature enhancements

🎯 Requisitos

• Must be eighteen years of age or older • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States • Expertise in at least two technologies used by THD IT • Experience with common business processes used in the retail industry • Experience in Agile/Lean development environments • 7 years of relevant work experience • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job • Preferred: 7–9 years of relevant work experience • Preferred: One field of expertise should include a programming language • Preferred: Capability to understand complicated systems quickly • Preferred: Mastery in assigned domains • Preferred: Active participation in or leadership of professional groups affiliated with specific domains • Preferred: 5 years of previous leadership experience • Typically requires overnight travel less than 15% of the time • No certifications required
