Descrição

• Set technical direction for backend development and design and build scalable, reliable web application systems • Work alongside AI coding agents, directing and reviewing their output while maintaining quality standards • Drive adoption of new languages, tools, and agentic development practices across the team • Write code with significant impact on customers and future product lines • Partner cross-functionally to influence product direction and work directly with customers • Deeply understand the healthcare subrogation and COB space • Build production-grade Java and/or Rust services, contribute to standards, mentor others, and elevate programming maturity • Serve as the backend voice in cross-team planning and support cross-functional execution • Lead Rust idioms, safety, and performance adoption • Contribute to complex in-browser applications with extensibility, scalability, and security • Balance customer-facing features with technical debt cleanup • Architect and implement applications applying ML techniques to large data volumes • Design reliable, high-performing systems • Introduce agentic engineering practices into the team's day-to-day work

🎯 Requisitos

• 10+ years of experience across backend programming • Meaningful experience with Java or Scala; Rust highly desired • Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems on cloud services at scale • Ability to write Technical Design Documents and translate ambiguous product intent into backend design • Strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, ML/DS, and leadership partners • Hands-on experience with agentic engineering tools and workflows in production • Experience reading and understanding complex code, owning code quality, and improving it • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a high-growth, high-stakes environment • Comfort with complexity and curiosity to define the path forward • Technical leadership on Rust best practices is nice to have • BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
