Descrição

• Summarize discovery responses and medical records within 30 days of office receipt • Take and defend depositions of parties, lay witnesses, and expert witnesses • Complete deposition summaries within 15 days of depositions • Conduct legal research and prepare motions, oppositions, and replies • Appear in court for law and motion matters • Prepare trial documents, including motions in limine and oppositions • Ensure compliance with CCP §2025.340(m) for video depositions • Attend trial and support the trial attorney, including trial research, motions for directed verdict, nonsuit, and witness examinations • Complete miscellaneous assignments as directed by Attorney IV • Manage a high volume of cases independently with minimal direction • Maintain regular full-time attendance of at least 7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week • Travel by automobile for up to 20% of work time

🎯 Requisitos

• Law degree required • Admission to the bar in the state(s) where practicing required • 5+ years as a licensed attorney required • 3+ years of insurance defense experience or equivalent relevant experience required • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance law, tort law, evidence code, civil procedure, and trial procedure • Strong communication, persuasion, writing, and analytical skills • Ability to effectively conduct and defend party, witness, and expert depositions • Strong research and law and motion skills • Must meet established company standards regarding personal driving history and current license status • Considerable automobile travel, up to 20% of work time • Ability to work independently with minimal direction • Good organizational skills to manage a high volume of cases • Insurance defense BI trial experience preferred • Significant experience in expert witness discovery and trial practice • 10+ years as a licensed attorney preferred • 5+ years of insurance defense experience preferred • Law degree from a state-accredited or ABA-accredited law school preferred
