Descrição

• Coordinate and implement a comprehensive program to protect natural areas and habitat for rare and endangered plants, animals and natural communities • Use protection tools including gifts, easements, purchases, leases, registries, conservation brokerage, land and resource use planning, and cooperative projects • Implement TNC’s internal conservation priorities • Develop key partnerships with public and private organizations • Implement land protection projects, including conservation real estate transactions • Assist in securing public and private funds for land protection • Research land ownership information for potential acquisition projects • Prepare project packages • Respond to protection inquiries and screen potential protection projects • Identify, cultivate and implement land protection projects • Negotiate real estate transactions that can legally and financially bind TNC • Plan, manage and implement protection project work with multidisciplinary matrixed teams • Maintain records related to land transactions • Manage budgets, negotiate and contract with vendors, develop budgets and contribute to fundraising efforts • Work in variable weather, remote locations, difficult or hazardous terrain and physically demanding circumstances

🎯 Requisitos

• BA/BS degree in natural resources management, conservation, business, law or another related field of study • 3 years of related work experience in conservation, real estate, fundraising or other related experience • Experience with principles of land acquisition • Experience managing multiple projects and timelines • Experience negotiating complex agreements • Experience developing partnerships with partners, community and government • Experience working with computers, including database management • Ability and willingness to travel frequently and on short notice, sometimes on weekends • Valid driver's license and compliance with TNC’s Auto Safety Program • Completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a review of the prospective employee's motor vehicle record • Knowledge of current trends and strategies in conservation, real estate and land protection in Florida • GIS and database management skills • Successful completion of TNC's background screening process
