Descrição

• Develop software models supporting the NuScale control room simulator • Update plant models according to engineering documentation • Collaborate with NuScale operators and engineers on software development tasks • Support development, testing, and operation of the control room simulator and other software projects • Develop software according to established procedures and processes to maintain configuration control • Document software defects using issue-tracking software • Recommend solutions for software errors and identify common-cause performance issues • Solve problems using professional operational principles and company objectives • Work under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives • Collaborate with team members to vet solutions and ensure high-quality deliverables • Set up and maintain hardware, including installing computers and monitors and connecting cables • Travel occasionally to other locations outside Corvallis as required

🎯 Requisitos

• Minimum B.S. degree in physics, engineering, or another technical field from an accredited college or university • ABET-accredited engineering program preferred • Minimum five years of full-time software development experience • Three or more years of demonstrable software deliverables focused on modeling and simulator development preferred • Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 • Working knowledge of an integrated development environment such as Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code • Working knowledge of a revision control system such as Git • Experience with thermal hydraulic and neutronic analysis software highly desirable • Experience with GSE simulation software such as SimExec, JTopmeret, and JElectric desirable • Experience with thermal hydraulic system codes such as RELAP5 and TRACE desirable • Experience with project management systems such as GitLab or GitHub desirable • Experience developing software in Fortran, C++, and/or Python desirable • Experience with neutronic analysis codes such as Simulate 3 and MCNP desirable • Understanding of basic thermal hydraulic engineering principles • Understanding of numerical methods for coupled partial differential equations involving fluid flow and heat transfer • Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings • Ability to travel nationally and locally using common transportation • Ability to communicate clearly using phones, personal interaction, and computers
