Descrição

• Lead a small team of designers in the design, development, installation, and maintenance of electrical substations • Manage protection and controls design projects of all sizes, including resource planning, risk management, and project delivery • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and manage career development for designers • Prepare or oversee cost estimates and schedules for protection and controls design projects • Allocate direct reports to meet project demands • Coordinate with project managers and design managers to ensure efficient, high-quality project execution • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to direct reports • Oversee the preparation of protection and controls designs • Resolve design issues and provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support • Serve as the primary client contact throughout project lifecycles • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for seamless project execution and timely service delivery • Assist in preparing proposals • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations for electrical substations • Perform quality reviews of direct reports' work • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives for substation design, operation, and maintenance • Monitor industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes

🎯 Requisitos

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design of electrical substations • PE license highly preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to organize multiple protection and controls design assignments and competing priorities • Experience managing design projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional work teams • Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills • Successful record of positive interactions with clients • Experience creating and reviewing substation protection and controls design drawings • Proficiency with current software applications used for substation design work • Ability to work successfully with remotely located team members • Ability to pass a post-offer drug and alcohol test, including marijuana, in compliance with Federal regulations • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of continued employment
