Descrição

• Lead four teams: Prizm, Semantics, Transformation, and Delivery Services • Hire and develop engineers and set technical and operational standards • Conduct regular 1:1s, provide technical mentorship, and support career growth • Staff and oversee engagements with lines of business and make resource allocation decisions • Own delivery across team roadmaps while maintaining platform reliability and scalability • Qualify engagements, scope work, set expectations, and own stakeholder relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle • Review technical architectures and code for reliability, observability, security, cost, and production readiness • Lead technical discovery sessions, prototype solutions, and debug complex production issues • Build playbooks, starter repositories, integration templates, and an internal knowledge base • Establish responsible AI-augmented engineering practices using agentic coding tools • Define team OKRs and operational cadences, including standups, retrospectives, design reviews, and incident reviews • Partner with Product and Architecture to translate field insights into platform improvements • Represent the platform with senior stakeholders across Pearson's lines of business

🎯 Requisitos

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or a technical customer-facing role such as forward deployed engineering or consulting • 4+ years of people management experience with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers, ideally within a services, post-sales, or forward deployed organization • Experience building teams or practices from 0 to 1 inside an organization with production systems • Experience working directly with enterprise stakeholders on technical implementations • Production experience building on large language models and generative AI, including agents, retrieval, evaluation frameworks, prompt management, guardrails, rate limits, non-determinism, provider outages, schema drift, cost, and latency • Daily use of agentic coding tools and experience shaping responsible AI adoption practices • Depth in distributed backend systems and cloud-native architectures using AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience with services, asynchronous processing, event-driven pipelines, and content and data systems at scale • Operational experience with observability, on-call, incident response, security, and multi-tenant platform discipline • Executive presence and ability to move between strategic stakeholder conversations and hands-on debugging • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience • Relevant field of study demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
