Descrição

• Portrays characteristics of a patient, family member, health care team member, etc., for the purpose of training and/or assessing health care students and professionals. • Undergoes interviews and/or physical examination by healthcare trainees or professionals, utilizing scripted materials to portray the specifics of a patient or scenario, including personal history, symptoms, emotional characteristics, and concerns of patients or family members. • In a non-biased manner, portrays various roles and demeanors, providing an opportunity for health care students and providers to practice or refine communication and examination skills in a safe learning environment before utilizing these skills on actual patients. • Provides constructive written and verbal feedback, from a patient's perspective. • Delivers formative feedback regarding interactions with the learner, specifically concerning conduct, communication skills, and medical assessment. • Consistently and accurately portrays various medical scenarios or cases during mock interviews, live/taped demonstrations and/or physical examinations. • Responds to basic medical history questions in a standardized manner. • Improvises appropriately, as needed, when an interview and/or exam does not go as scripted. • Maintains confidentiality of information related to cases, student behaviors and evaluations.

🎯 Requisitos

• High School diploma or the equivalent required • 6 months of work or volunteer experience preferred • Or equivalent combination of education and experience • Experience in theatre, a medical field or education preferred • Ability to understand and follow instructions required • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken • Strong reading and writing skills to absorb and use the detailed case training and exam procedural information required • Ability to accurately portray a wide range of roles and scenarios, and to remain in character throughout the interaction with the learner required • Organization, reliability and punctuality required • Fluency in more than one language preferred • Willing and able to work a varied, flexible schedule preferred
