• Lead analysis of supplier performance and deploy strategies to improve quality performance, measured by escapes and PPM • Form and lead focused initiatives targeting major drivers of poor quality across the supplier base • Lead the enterprise supplier Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) strategy • Oversee technical quality staff providing supplier support, onsite engagement, coaching, and complex technical issue resolution • Direct quality and process-readiness aspects of work transfer planning and execution • Establish and maintain RCCA processes, training materials, and performance metrics • Partner with Supplier Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Program leadership on systemic supplier challenges • Analyze supplier performance data to identify trends and inform strategic quality initiatives • Build relationships with critical suppliers to improve problem-solving capability and alignment with Raytheon quality expectations • Lead cross-functional investigations for high-impact escapes and coordinate corrective action plans and executive briefings • Manage and develop RCCA specialists, quality engineers, and technical staff • Support supplier readiness for new product introduction, rate increases, and major transitions • Drive consistent application of quality standards, methods, and tools across supplier engagements • Report supplier quality performance, RCCA effectiveness, and emerging risks to senior leadership • Travel to supplier locations as needed, approximately 50% of the time
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 12 years’ experience • Relevant experience in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, operations, or other engineering fields • 14 years’ expertise in root cause analysis, containment, irreversible corrective actions, lessons learned, structured problem solving, and quality systems execution • Experience within aerospace and defense or similarly complex industries • Experience leading and mentoring technical teams • U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program/contract • Preferred: Experience with the Shainin System / Red X Method • Preferred: Certifications in Shainin / Red X Method • Preferred: STEM degree • Preferred: Experience leading technical teams and managing cross-functional initiatives • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement capabilities • Ability to travel 50% of the time to supplier locations as needed
