Descrição

• Evolve the cloud foundations behind every Samsara product • Reduce systemic production risk and enable growth by making infrastructure safer to change, easier to operate, more resilient, and cost-efficient at scale • Set technical direction for major infrastructure systems and lead ambiguous initiatives spanning multiple teams • Design, build, and operate reliable cloud platforms across compute, networking, storage, stateful systems, and infrastructure control planes • Improve scalability, capacity management, isolation, recovery, and cost efficiency of critical production infrastructure • Build standardized infrastructure-as-code workflows and reusable automation for self-service provisioning, testing, progressive rollout, reconciliation, rollback, and drift prevention • Identify shared failure modes and build safeguards against broad customer impact • Contribute to multi-account, multi-region, and isolated AWS architectures, including GovCloud environments • Participate in operational ownership and incident response; use incidents and near misses to drive architectural improvements • Mentor engineers and improve infrastructure design and operational judgment across the organization • Communicate architecture, trade-offs, risks, and migration plans to technical and organizational stakeholders • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally and across new offices • Collaborate with customer interviews, customer success, and product managers to improve customer outcomes

🎯 Requisitos

• 6+ years of experience designing and building software, infrastructure, or distributed systems, including operating critical systems in production • Deep expertise in compute and workload orchestration, networking, storage and stateful systems, or cloud infrastructure control planes • Strong software-engineering fundamentals in Go, Python, Java, or a similar language • Hands-on experience designing and operating infrastructure on a major public cloud platform; AWS experience is preferred • Experience using infrastructure as code, such as Terraform, to safely manage production infrastructure • Strong understanding of capacity management, failure domains, observability, rollout safety, and production recovery • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives across teams and ambiguous problem spaces • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience • Experience with ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, or similar orchestration systems is ideal • Experience with Kafka, OpenSearch, managed databases, caching, or large-scale storage platforms is ideal • Experience building internal infrastructure platforms, control planes, or self-service developer experiences is ideal • Experience designing multi-account or multi-region cloud architectures with workload isolation and disaster recovery is ideal • Experience leading major infrastructure migrations is ideal • Experience delivering measurable improvements in infrastructure capacity, cost efficiency, or developer self-service is ideal • Candidates must reside in the US • Legal right to work at the company and in the specified work location
