Descrição

• Lead and grow an engineering pod distributed across Latin America and the US • Set technical direction, divide and prioritize work, and run mentorship, feedback, and career-growth practices • Earn the trust of senior engineers through technical credibility and active listening • Evolve agile practices for a distributed pod • Define an agentic AI software development lifecycle with guardrails for specification, review, testing, and shipping • Own architecture for Next.js applications supporting case and workflow management and external partner integrations • Drive migration of legacy Flask/jQuery systems to Next.js, Node, and TypeScript • Design and implement RAG architectures and AI agent workflows for case intake, submission review, and reconciliation • Own pipelines and the data layer connecting the platform with client financial systems • Optimize complex PostgreSQL/MySQL queries and scale infrastructure for clinical, legal, and financial records • Partner with the Product/Project Manager and business stakeholders on sequencing, trade-offs, and scope • Own engineering execution, delivery reliability, and delivery pace

🎯 Requisitos

• Must be based in the United States • Proven engineering leadership; formally led/managed a team of engineers before • Experience leading a distributed and blended team across multiple countries and time zones, including employees and agency/contract staff • 7+ years building and scaling production-grade web applications, with recent hands-on depth • Full-stack expertise with a backend/infra tilt, including API design, microservices orchestration, and database optimization • Modern frontend fluency • Daily use of AI tools and a point of view on code review, testing, security, and cost control for AI-generated code • Ability to defend architectural trade-offs to senior leadership and represent the team in high-stakes conversations • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving approximately 100-person company • Must pass a background check • Ability to lead and maintain overlap with a distributed team across Latin America and the US • Experience with Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL/MySQL, and AWS • Regulated-domain experience in healthcare, fintech, or another compliance-heavy domain is a plus
