Descrição

• Design, implement, test, and maintain software enabling customers to engage with Fanatics Betting & Gaming promotional systems • Contribute to backend features allowing customers to earn rewards usable throughout the Fanatics ecosystem • Lead teams developing, testing, documenting, and deploying high-quality, extensible, and scalable production software • Clarify requirements and assist with coding/story estimates • Participate in the on-call rotation and troubleshoot software issues • Identify when to troubleshoot or escalate blocked tasks and projects • Mitigate immediate risk and identify and resolve root causes • Remove bottlenecks and make short-term versus long-term technical and design trade-off decisions • Contribute to team planning and design discussions, drive best practices, and improve delivery speed • Lead code reviews and provide constructive direction • Simplify code and resolve team architecture deficiencies • Influence software architecture, dependencies, performance, and business value • Improve testability, operational excellence metrics, and team documentation • Advise technology leaders, product teams, and internal stakeholders on technology decisions • Mentor and coach engineers and reduce future onboarding burden • Influence adherence to engineering strategy principles, guidelines, and best practices • Develop understanding of the industry, products, features, and roadmap • Remain current on software development technologies and trends • Travel occasionally to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team-building activities

🎯 Requisitos

• 5+ years of experience building highly scalable and fault tolerant systems • Understands a broad range of design approaches • Able to triage and debug system-wide production issues • Demonstrated experience mentoring other engineers • Able to communicate complex technical subjects to engineers, technical leaders, marketing and operations teams, and non-technical functional leaders • Familiar with Agile software product delivery and SCRUM methodology • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills • Agile mindset and ability to embrace new initiatives in a fast-paced environment • Able to work in an entrepreneurial, hyper-growth environment where priorities evolve regularly and decisions are made quickly • Team-first mentality and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done • Able to work cross-functionally within an enterprise environment • Preferred: experience working in a start-up environment • Preferred: 1+ years of experience leading a development team • Preferred: experience with Java/Spring Boot • Preferred: experience with React • Preferred: experience with Apache Kafka • Preferred: experience with AWS • Preferred: experience with PostgreSQL
