Descrição

• Set technical direction for systems powering checkout, order creation and lifecycle management, fulfillment orchestration, and integrations with internal and third-party partners • Own complex Order Management initiatives from discovery and technical design through implementation, production rollout, and post-launch measurement • Design and build reliable, stateful services and workflows with correctness, data consistency, scalability, failure, and recovery patterns • Evaluate and document technical options, constraints, and tradeoffs • Balance near-term delivery with maintainability, system simplification, technical debt reduction, and engineering velocity • Partner with Product, Engineering, Inventory, Fulfillment, Client Experience, Operations, and other cross-functional teams • Define scope, milestones, estimates, dependencies, success criteria, and delivery risks • Build, operate, and continuously improve business-critical systems using the engineering ecosystem • Strengthen engineering and operational excellence through automated testing, observability, safe rollout and rollback strategies, incident leadership, remediation, code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship • Use AI-assisted development tools for discovery, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and problem-solving • Evaluate and adopt AI capabilities, engineering tools, and technologies that improve productivity, reliability, and delivery quality

🎯 Requisitos

• 5+ years of software engineering experience • Experience building and operating complex, business-critical backend, distributed, or workflow systems with high correctness and availability requirements • Fluency in at least one modern programming language, such as Go, Ruby, Java, or Python • Comfort learning and working across languages • Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including data modeling, transactional semantics, schema evolution, and performance considerations • Experience operating services on a major cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure • Experience independently leading complex, multi-sprint initiatives from discovery and design through launch and operational follow-through • Ability to translate ambiguity into clear technical direction and measurable outcomes • Clear written and verbal communication • Ability to translate technical complexity into business outcomes • Effective collaboration across Product, Engineering, Operations, and technical and non-technical partners • Ability to mentor engineers and raise the technical bar • Value for automated testing, continuous delivery, observability, safe releases, reliability, and incident learning • Fluency with AI-assisted software development tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Nice to have: experience in e-commerce, order management, payments, inventory, logistics, fulfillment, or another high-throughput transactional domain • Nice to have: experience designing third-party integrations and handling partial failure, latency, consistency, recovery, and partner operational constraints • Nice to have: familiarity with Golang, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, AWS, Kafka, Temporal, and Datadog
