Descrição

• Grow into full ownership of the engineering function through a genuine succession track alongside the current engineering leader • Make architecture and prioritization decisions and develop independent engineering judgment • Lead and coordinate backend engineers through assignments, sprint reviews, PR approvals, and technical mentorship • Share go/no-go authority for production deployments and make hotfix-versus-queue decisions with QA • Build working knowledge of Glovebox, MPI, PromisePay, scheduler, OEM feeds, and reporting • Review pull requests, diagnose production issues, and ship backend fixes • Own ActiveMQ-to-SQS migration, consumer management, queue architecture, and backlog triage • Monitor and respond to application-layer health using DataDog, CloudWatch, and AWS X-Ray • Lead infrastructure cost-reduction initiatives involving DocumentDB ReadIOPS and Lambda efficiency • Become the internal expert on DMS integrations and own engineering for OEM data pipelines • Provide technical guidance to Support and Customer Success on DMS issues and integration edge cases • Serve as a primary escalation point for P0/P1 incidents; respond, contain, communicate, and document • Author root-cause analyses after significant production events • Maintain Confluence runbooks and current escalation contacts • Own application-layer security, including vulnerability remediation, SAST findings, dependency management, and repository access • Serve as engineering point of contact for SOC 2 and PCI-DSS audits • Coordinate with IT and SRE on cross-functional security policies

🎯 Requisitos

• Demonstrated ability or readiness to assume full ownership of an engineering function • Independent judgment in prioritization and software architecture • Backend engineering leadership, including engineer coordination, sprint reviews, pull-request approvals, and technical mentorship • Hands-on backend development and production issue resolution • Experience or capability with ActiveMQ-to-SQS migration, consumer management, and queue architecture • Monitoring and incident response using DataDog, CloudWatch, and AWS X-Ray • Knowledge of DMS integrations including Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, DealerTrack, DealerBuilt, AutoSoft, AutoMate, and Dominion • Knowledge of OEM data pipelines and feeds for Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Mazda, Ford, Hyundai/Genesis, Kia, Audi/VW, and BMW • Experience with P0/P1 incident response, containment, communication, and documentation • Root-cause analysis authoring and Confluence runbook maintenance • Application security experience including code-level vulnerability remediation, SAST findings, dependency management, and repository access • Familiarity with SOC 2 and PCI-DSS audits • Ability to coordinate with IT and SRE on security policies
