📋 Description

• Define and drive the mission, vision, and strategy for Zip's observability, reliability, and modernization initiatives. • Manage a high-performing team of 4-5 engineers in the Toronto office, fostering their growth and development. • Act as a hands-on contributor to the team’s core technical projects. • Establish and continuously refine processes to ensure excellence in execution and clear communication with stakeholders. • Collaborate with other engineering leaders in the Toronto office to support and scale the overall Toronto engineering team.

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of experience in software engineering. • Strong track record of leading teams of engineers on platform or infrastructure projects. • Hands-on expertise in building and operating large-scale systems, utilizing technologies like AWS, Datadog, Kubernetes, and other open-source solutions. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Experience with mentoring and developing other engineers. • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics).
