Acentra Health exists to empower better health outcomes through technology, services, and clinical expertise. • Lead the Way is our rallying cry at Acentra Health. • Acentra Health is looking for an experienced Director of Engineering Excellence to join our growing team all working remote! • The Director of Engineering Excellence will lead a highly skilled team responsible for defining and executing Acentra Health's technology strategy, with a strong focus on modernizing software development practices, automation, and improving overall engineering efficiency. • The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, software and quality engineering, infrastructure services, and program implementation teams, to implement robust engineering standards and deliver best in class software solutions. • Mentor and manage a remote team, promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence. • Act as a key liaison between product engineering, infrastructure services, and key business units to ensure alignment between technical strategies and business goals. • Continuously assess new technologies and industry best practices, driving innovation and operational efficiency for the organization. • Develop, document, and enforce software engineering standards to streamline processes, improve code quality, and foster continuous improvement across the organization. • Spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge software engineering methodologies, including automation frameworks, to enhance test coverage, streamline development processes, and reduce defect rates. • Incorporate AI-driven solutions to optimize the entire software development lifecycle, from code development to testing and deployment. • Oversee the design and optimization of CI/CD pipelines to enhance code quality, reduce deployment costs, and improve the scalability of software products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Proven track record of leading large-scale software engineering projects and implementing modern engineering practices • Experience in establishing engineering standards and driving adoption across organizations • Expertise in DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline management • Strong background in automation, including AI-driven solutions • Experience with cloud-based software development environments • Knowledge of industry-standard tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, or similar • Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
