β’ 8+ years of relevant professional experience. β’ Professional experience working with React and TypeScript to develop frontend features from design and discovery through to deployment and monitoring. β’ Professional experience working with Ruby on Rails to make changes to APIs in order to carry a feature to completion. β’ A strong understanding of performance, scalability, and security best practices. β’ Experience executing large projects that involve multiple engineers, complex requirements, and ambiguity. β’ Ability to write technical proposals that clearly articulate risks and tradeoffs. β’ Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and to collaboratively translate business requirements and strategic goals into technical solutions. β’ A track record of working closely with product and design teams to iterate on and refine product requirements. β’ A track record of effective collaboration with other engineers to develop abstractions and patterns that make it easy to build reliable, maintainable software. β’ A team player mentality; you keep the end user in mind and enjoy hearing feedback from your teammates, yet know when and how to defend your own ideas in a respectful manner. β’ Comfort collaborating with a distributed team of many remote colleagues. β’ Excitement for the learning and growth of yourself and your teammates. β’ An inclusive, generous working style: you like to mentor, collaborate, and elevate your team by supporting your peers.
