Description

• Coordinate the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and investment activities. • Provide financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. • Oversees the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, schedules, footnote disclosures and Management Discussion & Analysis, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Statutory Accounting Principles. • Provide management with short- and long-term financial objectives and policies. • Collaborate with external auditors to provide information needed for the annual audit. • Maintain knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards. • Monitors monthly close process to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting. • Maintains workpapers for tax provisions, tax footnotes and works closely with the tax accountants on filing of returns. • Develops and implements workflow process improvements and automation of accounting workpapers. • Serves as a key resource for other departments seeking financial information and assistance. • Responsible for researching changes in both FASB and SAP guidance, drafting technical memos and implementing new standards. • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. • Develops appropriate accounting controls, timelines and procedures. • Assist with management of cashflows and invested assets of the Company

Requirements

• 5+ years related experience required. • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred. • 6-8+ years of financial leadership experience, preferably in a high-growth startup environment. • 5+ years experience managing compliance and financials in expansions and subsidiaries. • 5+ years experience managing a Finance team. • Property and casualty insurance experience preferred. • Excellent analytical and organizational skills. • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Pages, etc) Experience leading corporate budget and compliance in both pre- and post-IPO.
