📋 Description
• - Review and code **office visits, surgical procedures, and anesthesia-related reports** using accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes. • - Ensure all coding follows **CMS, payer-specific, and compliance guidelines**. • - Provide **clinic-wide billing and coding support**, assisting with reconciliation, claims review, and error resolution as needed. • - Audit and correct **clinic fee tickets**, procedure charges, and hospital reports for accuracy and completeness. • - Manage **appointment reconciliation reports** to support accurate month-end closeout. • - Review and resolve items on the **Claims Error and AR reports**, ensuring timely billing corrections. • - Maintain current knowledge of coding updates, industry standards, and compliance regulations. • - Support physicians and clinic staff with coding clarification, documentation improvement, and process efficiency. • - Uphold **HIPAA** and organizational confidentiality standards in all communications and documentation. • - Participate in teamwork-driven initiatives that enhance workflow, patient experience, and operational efficiency.
🎯 Requirements
• - **CPC certification** (AAPC) preferred; uncertified coders with relevant anesthesia coding experience may also be considered. • - Demonstrated **knowledge and experience in anesthesia coding** and billing processes. • - Familiarity with **CMS, payer-specific guidelines, and modifier usage**. • - Strong understanding of **medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology**. • - Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy. • - Proficiency in **MS Office** and practice management or EHR systems. • - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
