• Lead market engagement strategies that prioritize labor relations education, coaching support and risk mitigation for assigned markets while building leader capabilities. • Ensure alignment with Starbucks’ Mission and Values in all labor relations activities. • Analyze business and partner experience data to identify trends and inform decision-making. • Cultivate relationships with union representatives and internal stakeholders to maintain positive partner relations. • Serve as a trusted advisor in all labor relations matters, proactively minimizing risks to the partner experience. • Facilitate strategic guidance and consultation on all labor relations issues across, retail, support and PRO teams.
• Understanding of labor and human resources related laws and regulations including but not limited to the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), Title VII, ADA, ADAAA, ADEA, FMLA & state/local laws and ordinances • 3-7 years of experience in Labor Relations, Human Resources, and/or Employee Relations • Demonstrated experience in effectively building collaborative and trusting partnerships with union counterparts • Experience integrating labor relations practices into business operations in a way that supports and enhances overall business operations • Has a sound understanding of employee relations practices • Ability to articulate perspective and influence via effective verbal and written communication skills to peers and leaders • Solid technical business writing skills • Strong facilitation and presentation skills • Experience in solving complex opportunities • Facilitate training courses and lead meetings • Proficient in technology and use of case management systems. For example: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and project management systems.
