Description

• Designing and building open world content areas to support gameplay and narrative goals • Ensuring that Level Design maintains a balance between the creative vision for the content and the game-world's technical constraints • Collaborating with other designers and artists to develop, implement, and maintain standard metrics throughout the world • Working closely with the project directors and other leads to ensure quality across the game • Mentoring and guiding other level designers to develop their skills and knowledge of Unreal Engine and high-quality level layouts

Requirements

• Expert-level Unreal Engine experience, including understanding of advanced features such as world partition, greybox modeling, and procedural content generation tools • Strong experience with theory and implementation of the “360” approach to open world level design • Experience developing levels for multiplayer/co-op titles and their associated technical constraints • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams, including gameplay designers, engineers, and environment artists • Proven experience identifying and defining pipelines, technologies, tools, and improvements • Strong communication and problem-solving skills • 5+ years of experience as a Level Designer or at least one shipped AAA open-world title • Comfortable working with a fully remote team • Prior experience as a Senior or Lead Level Designer • Strong technical ability and willingness to learn new techniques and workflows • Passion for making and playing games, especially 3rd person fantasy action games
