The bold ideas. • We are the world's largest global law firm, with 12,000+ people across 80+ countries. • The Finance Applications Manager will be key to facilitating and developing the use of systems and technology within the firm. • Promoting best practice and liaising with senior stakeholders to ensure business needs are met. • This role will build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and key third parties and ensure effective communication and feedback channels. • Work closely with other departments, to facilitate and deliver systems improvements and manage change control across various functional areas. • You will be encouraged to look for innovations that make the systems and the people better. • You should be aiming to provide the highest possible quality of service and standards within Dentons service level targets. • Lead a team of functional, system analysts and support engineers to deliver day to day support and systems improvements. • Maintaining the practice management system and managing systems upgrades (Cloud). • Provide support to newly deployed countries (post hyper care), including ensuring processes are followed and knowledge is retained via recurring and new joiner training. • Manage vendor and stakeholder’s relationships. • Monitoring systems, ensuring month-end and year-end processes are adhered to in all supported countries and ensuring tasks are run. • Investigating and resolving system issues. • Extracting data and designing reports. • Dealing with complex system requests and queries. • Reviewing business process and documentation. • Managing user access and security controls.

🎯 Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years' experience of working with financial systems within an international law firm. • Advanced knowledge of the Elite 3E system. • Knowledge of data tools (Change stream and Tsql) and Power BI highly beneficial. • Good working knowledge of data warehousing, data quality management, data security. • Knowledge of system integrations, APIs, middleware and ETL processes. • Experience of Microsoft Azure environment and cloud-based services highly beneficial. • Knowledge of expense/invoice platforms would be useful. • Ability to manage and inspire team members (including those who are not direct reports), together with the willingness to share knowledge and experience to build up skill levels within the team. • Experience of overseeing a multi-locational team • A strong operational accounting background. • Expert stakeholder management, demonstrating ability to work efficiently and smoothly in demanding situations. • Proficient project management experience with the ability to handle multiple work streams and prioritise accordingly • Working within a structured project framework and able to manage projects from inception to delivery. • Broad experience of finance applications and integrations. • Self-motivated and wishing to affect change, with a record of positive outcomes • Customer focused, flexible, results driven and used to operating in a period of change • Capable of contributing productively to collaborative efforts, while also adept at engaging constructively with colleagues across various roles within an inclusive team setting • Able to work efficiently with little instruction while exemplifying self-management • Comfortable working in fast paced, productive environment, skillfully handling evolving needs and technological advancements • Excellent experience leading and supporting finance services. • A Strong accounting/finance background.
