Account Executive

•Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within North America, with a special emphasis on mid-market prospects.
•Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan, maintaining a robust sales pipeline through effective use of our technology stack.
•Spearhead outbound lead generation initiatives, crafting a tailored outreach strategy and ensuring consistency in our sales processes.
•Collaborate with our global sales force to meet and exceed financial objectives, brainstorming and implementing strategies for efficient outreach and market penetration.
•Conduct discovery calls and product demos in a compelling and engaging manner, tailored to the unique needs of each prospect.
•Establish rapport with key decision-makers, uncovering their challenges and motivations to guide them through the sales process, ensuring prospects stay on our schedule.
•Maintain relentless follow-up with prospects, employing innovative communication strategies to keep DISCO top-of-mind.
•Leverage industry knowledge, technology trends, and thought leadership to become a trusted advisor and influencer to both prospects and existing customers.
•Work in tandem with Marketing and Customer Success teams to optimize cross-departmental efforts and enhance the overall customer experience at DISCO.
•Stay abreast of company offerings, industry developments, and competitive landscape to remain a knowledgeable resource for prospects.

Account Executive - Mid Market

Support Engineer

•Triage bugs escalated via the support team by assessing their impact, conducting advanced troubleshooting, validating fixes, and escalating to developers when appropriate.
•Efficiently manage the issue inbox and backlog, ensuring that issues are prioritized and addressed promptly, roadblock issues are identified, and new reports are linked to existing issues.
•Act as the primary incident lead during outages for Support, ensuring that outages identified by support staff are promptly escalated to on-call engineers, customers receive appropriate messaging, and support staff are given regular updates on the status of the outage.
•Provide support staff with formal training and ad-hoc coaching on the proper troubleshooting and ticket filing procedures.
•Work closely with Support team leadership and Engineering to prioritize bug-fixes and product improvements that would have the greatest impact both internally and externally.
•Provide direct end-user support to users who have encountered bugs and whose cases escalated to the Support Engineering Inbox by support staff, communicating with users in a courteous and professional manner.
•Act as the primary support contact for the DISCO API ecosystem.
•Assist with product documentation and the documentation of Support Engineering team policies and procedures as needed.

Customer Support Engineer

Accounting, Payroll & Financial Planning

•Work as a ‘department of one’ initially, whilst receiving support from our bookkeepers and our sister company’s CFO.
•Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the financial health and stability of the organization.
•Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
•Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, P&L and financial reporting (experience using Mosaic is a plus)
•Establish and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
•Oversee payroll, expenses and tax compliance, and liaise with external service partners.
•Advise and support the company with respect to sales tax requirements that come with SaaS ( federal/state/local)
•Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on financial performance and opportunities for growth
•Lead the development of financial metrics and KPIs to drive performance management and improve decision-making
•Develop and implement financial strategies that optimise company spend and support business goals
•Attend to the preparation of monthly Management and Board reports
