📋 Description

Are you a motivated, results-driven sales professional looking to take the next step in your career? Do you thrive in a high-energy environment where every conversation brings new opportunities? If so, DotActiv is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team in Cape Town! • DotActiv is a market leader in category management solutions, helping top retailers and suppliers optimise their product assortment, shelf planning, and overall performance. • As a Business Development Representative, you’ll play a key role in driving the company’s growth by focusing on the early stages of the sales cycle. • You’ll be responsible for: • Engaging and qualifying marketing-generated leads – You’ll reach out to potential clients who have already shown interest in our solutions, nurturing them toward a deeper conversation. • Proactively identifying and targeting key accounts – You won’t just rely on inbound leads; you’ll also build your own pipeline by identifying and reaching out to potential clients who may not yet be familiar with DotActiv. • Building strong relationships – You’ll develop trust with key decision-makers through consultative sales conversations. • Setting high-quality meetings – Your goal is to secure meetings with key prospects for our senior sales team, ensuring a smooth handover for closing opportunities. • Leveraging sales tools and technology – You’ll use CRM systems, email outreach, LinkedIn, and other platforms to track and optimize your outreach efforts.

🎯 Requirements

We’re looking for someone who is driven, proactive, and hungry for success. To thrive in this role, you should: • Have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (BDR, SDR, inside sales, or lead generation). • Be highly self-motivated and disciplined, capable of working independently while staying aligned with team goals. • Have a strong track record of success, meeting or exceeding sales targets in a past role. • Be an exceptional communicator, with the ability to engage potential clients through phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn messaging. • Be comfortable with rejection and resilient in the face of challenges – every "no" brings you one step closer to a "yes"! • Have strong research skills and the ability to identify potential business opportunities within different industries. • Be familiar with CRM tools and sales engagement platforms (experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar is a plus).
