📋 Description

• Contribute to a team responsible for highly engineered equipment design of nuclear plant components • Create and develop design concepts, provide procurement support, and generate drawings, CAD models, specifications, and design basis documentation • Operate in a matrixed engineering team to deliver high quality engineering deliverables • Maintain open communication with interfacing engineers and project stakeholders • Prepare CAD models, drawings, specifications, and documentation for nuclear component designs • Understand component material selection & fabrication processes • Perform independent verification of design work ensuring strict procedure adherence • Work closely with sourcing and manufacturing to support cost reduction activities • Develop procedures and identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity • Responsible for equipment requirement specifications and drawings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline • 3 years of BWR reactor vessel/internals design experience • Nuclear grade bellows design experience • Experience performing component design work to ASME Section III standards • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD design • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites occasionally
