📋 Description

• Perform installation and commissioning activities at customer site locations during ship construction. • Must be capable of working unsupervised. • Performs troubleshooting activities at site locations during scheduled Port visits or at sea to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, and implements corrective actions. • Performs a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure the technical integrity and proper installation and commissioning of GEPC Power systems and associated control systems. • Provide support to engineering teams working on customer modernization projects. • Provide support the bidding process for the customer modernization projects. • Provide on call support in response to customer calls for service • Complete timely service reports and other administrative requirements • Perform work on-board vessels within GE / Customer safety guidelines either in shipyards or offshore. • Extended hours / overtime maybe required during peak periods and emergency circumstances. • Domestic or overseas travel to customer sites for extended periods of time.

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma with a minimum of 15 additional years of related field service experience in a field service AND/OR commissioning environment with Power systems and associated control systems. • Minimum 3 years of field service and/or commissioning experience in a field service/ commissioning environment with Power systems and associated control systems. • US Citizen with the ability to achieve security clearance for Department of Defense projects • Ability and willingness to travel 85% of the time on short notice • Must be physically fit to be able to board vessels offshore. • Must be able to pass a HUET and offshore survival course which includes activities in a swimming pool.
