Description

• Developer Advocate for Gradle Build Tool, focusing on sharing knowledge and fostering the community • Responsible for Gradle Build Tool advocacy as a part of the Developer Relations and Education Team • Collaborating with technical evangelists responsible for Gradle Enterprise • Creating and delivering educational and informational content, fostering the community, as well as collecting and organizing user feedback to inform engineering priorities • Building and refining an advocacy strategy of an extremely widely used open-source project • Redefining the approach and taking developer relations to the next level • Leading the Developer Relations and Education Team (not a requirement) • Minimum Qualifications: Experience in a Developer Advocacy role, Excellent writing and communication skills, Software engineering background including Java/JVM development, Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools, Passion for developer tooling, Strategic thinking skills • Preferred Qualifications: Practical experience using Gradle, Experience with other build systems such as Maven and Bazel, Interest in developer productivity and build automation, Experience in building and leading software developer communities

Requirements

• Excellent writing and communication skills (in English) • Experience in a Developer Advocacy role • Software engineering background including Java/JVM development • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools • Passion for developer tooling • Strategic thinking skills • Practical experience using Gradle (preferred) • Experience with other build systems such as Maven and Bazel (preferred) • Interest in developer productivity and build automation (preferred) • Experience in building and leading software developer communities (preferred)
