• Operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing contract activity that presents moderate to high risk to the business unit and organization. • Responsible for both routine and non-routine contract negotiation and administration. • Develop specialized contract vehicles, innovative solutions, and unique techniques to achieve strategic business goals. • Involve complex independent judgment and detailed analysis for the Director of Contracts and play a key strategic role by recommending and driving contract strategy for high-impact opportunities. • Provide critical contractual domain expertise to the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience within the field in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and/or equivalent professional certification (e.g., CPCM) strongly preferred • 15 plus years of demonstratable, progressive professional experience in US Federal Government Contracts and/or subcontracts or equivalent experience. • Demonstrated ability to develop advanced concepts and solutions to unusual problems that involve a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovation. Significant experience is all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, administration, and close-out for various contract types, including fixed price, cost reimbursement, labor hour and time and materials as well as experience with contract structure, pricing strategies, policy and procedure and compliance principles. • Expert proficiency and extensive experience in the FAR and DFARS, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), TINA, CAS, and software data rights clauses. • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills are required as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and competing deadline environment • Skilled in the use of MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as the use of Adobe Acrobat Pro
