β’ Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Fortna, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance of our automated systems and equipment across various client sites in the Netherlands. β’ Key Responsibilities: Installation & Commissioning: Set up and calibrate Fortna's automated systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality at client sites. β’ Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine preventive maintenance and address any mechanical or electrical issues to minimize downtime. β’ Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote support to clients, ensuring prompt resolution of technical challenges. β’ Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and client communications. β’ Client Training: Educate clients on system operations, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols to ensure optimal usage. β’ Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and support teams to relay client feedback and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
β’ Education: MBO level 4 or higher in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. β’ Experience: Minimum of 3 years in field service, preferably within warehouse automation, conveyor systems, or robotics. β’ Technical Skills: Proficient in reading mechanical and electrical schematics; adept at using diagnostic tools and software. β’ Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is highly advantageous. β’ Mobility: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the Netherlands. β’ Certifications: safety certifications (e.g., VCA). β’ Software Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial control systems and software applications like MS Office and PLC's. β’ Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to challenges.
