📋 Description

• Development and Innovation: Design, optimize, and maintain firmware for automotive embedded systems, participating in R&D for new devices and improvements to existing projects. • Connectivity and Protocols: Develop communication logic for cellular technologies (2G/3G/4G/LTE-M/NB-IoT), Bluetooth (BLE), GNSS, LoRaWAN and LoRa P2P. • Integration and Cloud: Implement FOTA/OTA updates and integrate devices with cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT). • Technical Validation: Collaborate with the Hardware team on prototype validation and perform bench tests (oscilloscope, logic analyzer) and field functional tests. • Support and Diagnostics: Perform root-cause analysis of critical incidents and provide specialized technical support, using diagnostic tools, validation scripts and raw log/data analysis. • Documentation: Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams and communication protocol specifications. • Approvals and Certifications: Assist with certification/homologation of new devices and firmware releases. • Technical Specification and Compliance: Define technical requirements and equipment specifications in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations, and perform technical analysis and validation of supplier proposals.

🎯 Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation, Mechatronics, Telecommunications or related fields. • Language and OS: Advanced proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and hands-on experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS). • STM32/ARM Development: Strong knowledge of ARM Cortex-M architecture and solid experience in the STM32 ecosystem, including use of STM32CubeIDE and HAL-layer development. Practical experience implementing serial protocols (UART, SPI, I2C). • IoT and Connectivity: Experience with cellular modules, communication protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP), Protobuf, JSON, LoRa and Bluetooth. • Design and Debug: Knowledge of Low Power Design, ability to read schematics/PCB layouts and experience with debug tools (JTAG/SWD). • Nice-to-haves / Differentials: • Security: Experience implementing embedded encryption and firmware security best practices. • Automation: Experience with scripting (Python or similar) for automated tests and firmware validation. • Hardware Development: Practical experience in electronic circuit design, including component selection, schematic capture, PCB routing and DFM-aware design, facilitating continuous integration between HW and FW. • Automotive Expertise: Knowledge of automotive networks and protocols (CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, J1939, ISO11898 and OBD-II/PIDs) and familiarity with analysis tools (PCAN, CANalyzer or similar).
