Mountain-Pacific Quality Health Foundation is an affiliation of four related corporations dedicated to improving the quality of health care and assuring the most appropriate utilization of health care services. Mountain-Pacific is a physician-sponsored organization that supports the citizens, providers and health care communities of Montana, Wyoming, Hawaii and Alaska. A portion of what we do revolves around our work under the direction of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As a quality improvement organization, we support providers, practitioners, patients and other stakeholders to achieve better care and better population health and to lower health care costs through quality improvement. Mountain-Pacific also provides medical utilization review and management services for the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services. Through our review process, we strive to enable each Medicaid client to get his or her needs met in the most appropriate, cost-effective setting, using the most appropriate medical service, equipment and supplies. Finally, Health Technology Services (HTS), a division of Mountain-Pacific Quality Health is a federally designated Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center for the states of Montana and Wyoming. HTS offers technical assistance, guidance and information on best practices to support and accelerate health care providers’ efforts to become meaningful users of electronic health records (EHRs).
