Description
• Nansen is a blockchain analytics platform that enriches on-chain data with millions of wallets labels. Crypto investors use Nansen to discover opportunities, perform due diligence and defend their portfolios with our real-time dashboards and alerts. • The Nansen Research team is looking for its newest team member to help contribute to exciting quantitative research work at the leading edge of the crypto sector and blockchain technology. As a Research Analyst at Nansen, you will be a crucial part of a team serving the smartest traders, investors, and project teams in the crypto space. You will help to produce institutional-quality research reports, and provide data analysis and data visualization using Nansen’s proprietary data; working towards attaining the deepest industry knowledge on the many different chains and sub-sectors in crypto to add value to our products and clients. Your work will directly drive us towards achieving our mission of surfacing the signal in blockchain data. Projects span fundamental research on systematic trading signals for cryptocurrencies, the design of economic models for the most prominent chains and protocols in the space, work on advancing Nansen labels, and many other projects. Nansen is a truly global, remote-first business that empowers world-class talent located anywhere in the world, as our work is 100% online. For this position, we have decided to focus our search on the EMEA/ Americas regions. The position is full-time.
Requirements
• Can code fluently in Python and SQL • Hold a Bachelor (or more) in Finance, Statistics, Econometrics, or Mathematics • Are at the beginning of your career (≤ 2 years of professional experience) • Are passionate about crypto and financial markets, and are eager to up-skill and hone your knowledge in the crypto space • Are intellectually curious • Are independent: Direct experience working in a remote-first environment; and able to work independently whilst collaborating closely with the Nansen team • Are self-motivated: Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership, empathy, and determination to get things done • Are resilient: Open to new ideas, and eager to learn amidst adversity and challenge • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and the skills to take a (rough) idea and make it a reality • Have great written and verbal communication skills in English.
