πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Obsidian Security is looking for a Director, Global Strategic Events to lead the strategy and execution of large-scale tradeshows, conferences, and internal corporate events. β€’ You will identify, develop and execute tentpole conferences and internal corporate events working alongside the Head of Field Marketing and the broader GTM team. β€’ Project manage, lead and execute several global external (5-7 initially) and internal events (2-3 initially), ensuring the highest standards of event/show planning and delivery are maintained through effective team and resource management. β€’ Assigns roles, projects, and tasks to team members, ensuring all event requirements are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. β€’ Develop a comprehensive communications plan to inform all internal and external stakeholders of planned activities and actions needed surrounding all events. β€’ Report on program efficacy leveraging established - and yet to be established - methodologies and channels. β€’ Identify and evangelize for future event-based opportunities that will support company growth initiatives. β€’ Create, maintain and recommend continuous improvements for all on-site properties and convention assets. β€’ Ensure regular knowledge and best practice sharing among internal and external team. β€’ Comfortable working, delegating and interacting with executive leadership.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field β€’ 5-7 years of experience in marketing events management β€’ Must have project management experience and strong organization β€’ Excellent presentation skills with consistency and accuracy, and outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills β€’ A firm grasp on different marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing β€’ Must have the ability to move along multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver by event day β€’ Must have hands-on experience with data to analyze metrics and create reports β€’ Must have a high level of creativity β€’ Occasional travel may be required
