• Review submissions for insurance and request any additional information needed • Determine which markets to refer submissions per current carrier appetites and guidelines • Facilitate the underwriting process with sales and carrier/wholesaler • Communicate with the carrier regarding coverage questions • Revise terms (i.e., lower premium/additional coverage options or limits) as requested • Review bind requests to ensure all subjectivities have been met • Edit quotes sent by the carriers prior to sharing with the sales team • Issue policies on direct bill accounts • Provide post-issue service to existing policies • Follow up with the sales team and carriers/wholesalers on outstanding information
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, or a related field • Previous insurance sales, underwriting, or customer service experience, preferably within the insurance industry • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interface effectively at all levels within an organization • Property and Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain) is required • Life and Health and Flood insurance licenses are desired • Industry designations (i.e., CPCU, RPLU, ARM, AIC, CLCS, etc.) are desired
