Description

• Participate in developing complex technical solutions and working with cross-functional teams when delivering projects/products • Develop solutions based on specific project/product requirements, considering best practices and performance standards while promoting reusability • Assist other software engineering team members while following agile methodologies • Maintain a commitment to excellence and high standards in a collaborative environment • Work with leadership to align solutions and data integration with business strategies and objectives • Work with leads to identify and execute tasks in the software development life cycle • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting • Help document development phases and monitor systems

Requirements

• 3 - 5 plus years of backend software development experience, with emphasis on software design & development, scripting, and unit testing • Experience developing large-scale database-driven applications • Coding in Python for 3+ years • Experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) • Experience optimizing application performance at scale • A focus on shipping products quickly and iteratively • A proven track record for delivering quality work in a high-productivity work setting • Remote-first, collaborative, and distributed work culture enthusiast • Willingness to work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
