Description

• The European Accountant reports to the European Financial Controller and is responsible for the financial activities of Prosci’s European business entities including finance operations, management accounting, tax & treasury. • This role will suit a professionally qualified accountant who has post qualification experience in one or more global or multi-national organisations. • This individual will support the European and Global Financial Controllers with the preparation of Prosci Europe financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). • Will be a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team and Functional Managers within the European market. • Preparing month-end and year-end close processes, including subsidiary performance. • Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and analytical reports for the European region. • Proactively Identify accounting and financial issues and escalate to management as appropriate. • Reviewing financial transactions and reporting. • Preparation of regulatory reporting & produce financial statements. • Preparation of direct and indirect tax packs across multiple jurisdictions. • Preparation of management packs for Senior Leadership. • Collaboration with global finance team and other departments. • Monitor compliance with internal controls to ensure company governance is maintained. • Develop and adhere to all finance related policies and procedures. • Establish and maintain strong internal controls for financial processes. • Recommend and implement cross-country financial processes for Europe. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and development. • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across the team and with other departments. • Ensure new team members are effectively trained in the use of the essential financial tools and platforms used in Europe.

Requirements

• ACCA/CA qualification or European recognised equivalent. • Strong commercial finance & group accounting experience across multiple organisations, currencies, and countries. • IFRS experience is essential, experience in US GAAP is desirable. • Expert user of Microsoft Excel and strong overall proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Familiarity with financial ERP systems and various accounting software packages and CRM’s. • Knowledge and experience of European statutory filings/taxes is essential. • Professional competency in English is essential. • Previous experience of working with a remote, culturally diverse team. • Professional competency in one or more European languages is highly desirable as the post-holder will be responsible for financial oversight of all Prosci’s European country entities. • Previous experience of finance system integration projects.
