📋 Description
• Utilize personal lived experience to support youth in out-of-home care • Navigate mental health, behavioral, and substance use challenges • Mentor and advocate for youth, facilitating resource access • Educate and connect with youth about personal experiences • Empower clients to voice preferences in care plans • Attend team meetings and advocate for client needs • Enhance clients' self-advocacy and confidence skills • Educate service providers on improving youth service delivery • Assist clients in building community relationships and accessing resources • Collaborate with youth's treatment team to meet all needs • Complete required documentation in timeframes • Perform additional duties as assigned
🎯 Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required • Must be between the ages of 18 - 35 • Strong communication, problem solving, negotiation, and organizational skills • Has a flexible schedule and able to manage time effectively • Valid Driver’s License and insurability • Maintain their own health and wellness through continued recovery and/or mental health services as needed • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen • Successful completion of a background screening • Successful completion of a TB skin test or proof of a negative chest x-ray or other documentation
