Description

• Design, architect, develop and test functional modules in Java and J2EE technologies • Maintain existing legacy applications and actively develop and modernize new applications • Provide production support and analysis of application issues • Utilize Agile methodology such as Scrum • Work with messaging technologies and be familiar with rules-based development and functional programming • Experience with gitlab • Work with application servers such as WebSphere, WebLogic, and Tomcat • Familiarity with using DevSecOps and Cloud technologies

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a clearance • Graduate degree or equivalent experience • Minimum of 5 years of Java, database, and system experience in the IT profession • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to interpret requirements and corresponding flows to develop code • Ability to articulate technical viewpoints to team members and clients • Must be a self-starter/self-reliant to define strategies and work collaboratively to harden/publish strategies • Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and deliver high quality products and customer services • Working experience in a large complex enterprise • Required technical skills include J2EE Technologies, Oracle DB, JDBC, working knowledge of JPA, Messaging: Web Services, implementation with MVC frameworks, Web Services: JAX-WS, JAX-RS, XML, WSDL, JAXB, working knowledge with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and frameworks.
