•Skillsoft is looking for a Senior Storage Engineer who is specialized in EMC and CISCO technologies. •Join our operations team within Deployment and Reliability Engineering. •Work closely with peers spanning every imaginable technology discipline.

Requirements

•EMC hardware knowledge: PowerMax, Isilon, Unity •EMC software knowledge: Powerpath, Unisphere, InsightIQ, OneFS, SyncIQ, SRDF/A •VMware: ESXi 8.0, SRM(Site Recovery Manager) •Cisco Hardware: MDS 9706, Blade Technologies, UCS, S-series host •Cisco Software: Performance Manager, Fabric Manager, Device Manager •Installing, maintaining and monitoring Storage Area Networks (SANs) and Networked Attached Storage (NAS) •Installation and maintenance of SAN and NAS related software, firmware and management software •Troubleshooting SAN and NAS performance and configuration issues •Storage allocation •Perform daily checks and maintenance activities •Production of usage, trending and inventory reports relating to the SAN •Maintenance of backups of SAN and NAS configuration information •Documentation of procedures •Install and check for security patches •Maintain and update SAN and NAS scripts •Oversight of upgrades of EMC assets •DR Duties •Post-secondary education in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience •Knowledge of Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022 operating systems. •Knowledge and experience of RHEL Linux with Logical Volume Manager (LVM) •Good knowledge of statistical analysis, numerical analysis, plotting and trending tools •Knowledge of enterprise systems performance monitoring and administration tools •Good understanding of Disaster Recovery and advanced data replication (SRDF) •Knowledge and experience with AWS Services such as S3, EFS, EBS, FSx, & Amazon Linux 2 is an asset. •Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills •Professional manner with strong interpersonal skills; a team player and a relationship builder •Self-directed work habits, applied with creativity, resourcefulness, and a sense of personal responsibility •Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing •Ability to think strategically and plan for innovation/change; flexibility/adaptability •Excellent listening skills •EMC Vendor certification is a requirement
