Description

• Software Engineering is core to StellarFi's mission and as a Senior Software Engineer you will help design and deliver reliable, scalable, performant solutions across our entire software platform. You will help build StellarFi’s engineering culture and help build our team as we grow. We work in an industry that is rapidly growing in the face of a complex regulatory landscape. As such, we require all team members to face the challenges head-on and show the courage to break a few eggs. At StellarFi you'll never have to worry about your contributions to the world, because your work will impact millions of people as we become the financial management platform for the American consumer.

Requirements

• Work in our front-end (React) app and our back-end (Rails API), and anything new that comes along • Integrate with third party services through a variety of APIs like REST, gRPC, etc • Work with design, product, and business functions on new projects and efforts • Maintain the reliability of our platform with rigorous testing, monitoring, and data insights • Be an active participant in design and planning meetings, code reviews, and other team rituals • Thrive in uncertain, fast-paced environments • Bias towards action and own problems end-to-end • Understand while we embrace startup style and tempo we are building real software for the finance industry and execution rigor is critical • Be thoughtful and analytical; ask why • Divorce yourself from insider bias and surge into greenfield problem sets • Work collaboratively with third-parties to accomplish mutual goals while protecting Stellar equities and always driving towards our objectives • Check your ego at the door • We’d love to see 5+ years of production-facing application development • Familiarity with or experience with consumer FinTech • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience building and maintaining a complex set of systems • Experience working with product leads to deliver on time and on target • Experience working with SQL or other data storage systems, like ORM, NoSQL, or others • Experience integrating third-party APIs • Ruby on Rails • TypeScript or JavaScript (modern, responsive frontend frameworks like React or Vue with responsive CSS) • Heroku, AWS, or GCP • Testing automation (CI/CD)
