• Own key gameplay features from concept to implementation, ensuring they feel intuitive, expressive, and satisfying. • Design mechanics, systems, and player tools that encourage multiple approaches and meaningful choices. • Develop gameplay systems such as traversal, interaction mechanics, AI behavior, and player‑driven tools. • Collaborate closely with Level Design, crowd AI, Art, Programming, and Narrative to ensure unified and engaging gameplay. • Evaluate playtests, understand player behavior, and translate insights into balanced, accessible, and scalable systems. • Create clear design documentation, specifications, schematics, and presentations for multidisciplinary teams. • Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative, constructive design culture. • Work with programmers and AI teams to ensure gameplay systems are technically robust and scalable.
• 5+ years of experience as a Game Designer on AA/AAA productions, with at least one shipped title. • Strong background in systemic gameplay, player tools, and feature ownership from prototype to final implementation. • Ability to design, tune, and document gameplay systems such as traversal, interaction mechanics, crowd AI, abilities, and risk/reward loops. • Experience designing player‑driven scenarios supporting alternative paths, varying levels of aggression/exposure, and environmental strategy. • Systemic thinking with the ability to create mechanics that interact in emergent ways. • Experience working with AI‑driven encounters, perception systems, and reactive world elements. • Skilled in balancing pacing, difficulty, and affordances across interconnected gameplay systems. • Strong documentation and communication skills. • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
