Description

• Oversee all accounting transaction cycles, treasury, general ledger, account reconciliations, and close processes, while closely monitoring for opportunities to leverage automation. • Monitor and report on flow of funds and operational activity for a portfolio of international reforestation projects, working in close partnership with cross functional teams to help promote project success • Prepare and analyze financial statements and internal financial reports, while ensuring GAAP compliance and providing visibility into operational activity. • Present data-driven financial analysis to executive leadership and actively engage in strategic conversations to empower decision-making. • Manage and improve efficiency of the annual budget process, monthly variance analysis reporting, and cash flow forecasting. • Research, analyze, and communicate relevant GAAP application and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to carbon markets and governmental grants. • Lead the external audit process, compile data for periodic investor requests, and assist with other financial reporting and informational needs across domestic and international operations. • Recruit, manage, and mentor accounting and finance team members while promoting continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role • CPA qualification • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills • Proven ability to manage and mentor team members • Comfortable working with remote teams across international environments • Startup experience preferred
